Baptism

Going Public

Baptism is a visible symbol of God’s saving work within a person. It is the outward sign of belonging to the people of God—those who have repented and put their faith in Jesus Christ.

If you have repented of your sins and believed in Christ alone for salvation and have not already been baptized as a believer, this is the first step you should take in obedience to Christ.

Step 1: Baptism Class

We invite you to sign-up for and attend the next available Baptism Class, so that you can make an informed decision about whether or not you will get baptized at that time.

We offer Baptism Class three times a year.

Step 2: Baptism Interview

If you decide to move toward baptism, you will then be interviewed by an elder, who will ask you why you would like to be baptized, confirm your understanding of the Gospel, listen to your story of how you came to trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, and answer any questions you may have.

Step 3: Baptism Service

If the elder recommends you for baptism, you will participate in our weekend Baptism Service, where each baptism candidate will briefly share his or her testimony during the service before being baptized.
